From the series The Line by photographer Palindromo Mészáros.
On October 14, 2010, a catastrophic toxic aluminum waste spill inundated the Hungarian town Ajka, and spread all the way to the Danube river, killing at least 9 and injuring over 100 people. The accident left a visible legacy on the land, the flood line marked by a very noticeable deposit of caustic red mud.
